Hello and welcome!

This page was created for attendees of the Graduate Student Teaching Association (GSTA) workshop held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. The workshop has been designed to show participants how to use the online website and content management system WordPress to facilitate writing activities for instructional purposes.

Participants are encouraged to bring ideas, and are especially urged to consider instructional issues with respect to the following questions:
1) What challenges have you encountered while trying to engage students in writing activities?
2) What types of limitations have you experienced that may have resulted from the online course management system that you are currently using?

To prepare for the technical aspects of this workshop, we ask that participants use their CUNY Academic Commons (https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/) account. If you do not have a Commons account, then you can easily create on here: https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/register/.

Once you are logged in, then you can access the workshop website one of two ways. You can access it by navigating to https://usingwordpress.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ or through the workshop’s group (https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/using-wordpress/), and then clicking on the “Site” tab in menu on the left-hand side of the page.
